This qualification is designed for middle
managers who want to develop their management
skills and who aspire to senior management.
Candidates are likely either to hold a
Certificate in Management and/or have several
years experience at supervisory or first line
management level.

Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership
This qualification is designed for senior
managers who have the responsibility to
translate organisational strategy into effective
operational performance.
Candidates are likely either to hold a Diploma
in Management and/or have several years
experience at middle management level.
► The Executive
Diploma in Strategic Management
This qualification is designed for senior
managers who have the responsibility for
developing and implementing organisational
strategy.
Candidates are likely either to hold a Diploma
in Management or an Executive Diploma in
Management and/or have several years experience
at middle to senior management level.
► The Professional
Diploma in Public Sector Leadership
The qualification is designed by the public
sector, for the public sector. It is aimed at
developing professional managers within the
public sector and encouraging them to work more
collaboratively.
There are no specific entry requirements for
this qualification.
► The Professional
Diploma in Programme and Project Management
This qualification has been developed as a
result of collaboration between the CMI and The
APM Group and is designed to meet the needs of
managers responsible for programmes or projects,
and who wish to extend their skills and
knowledge to embrace a number of project and
programme management disciplines.
It is expected that candidates will already be
working in a programme or project management
environment, although the qualification is also
open to people wishing to build on their general
management skills.

Diploma in Innovation and Change Management
This qualification is aimed at managers with
responsibility for leading innovation and
supporting the implementation of change.
It is expected that it will be most appropriate
for people with significant experience within
their organisation of the opportunities
presented by innovation and the need to lead
change effectively. It is assumed that the
candidate will have a good general grounding in
management principles, theories and practices.
